The three beams towards the bottom of these photos were real stained wood. The beams at the top of these photos were constructed out of drywall and we were hired to finish them to match the real wood.
 
In this remodel the homeowner wanted the three fake beams constructed out of drywall in the sitting room to look like the natural wood stained beams in the kitchen. The beams with the rounded edges are the fake ones while the real beams have corners that have 90 degree angles.
